Course Description

In the sound design course, you will learn the entire process of audio production for a variety of visual media, including movies, games, and commercials. The course focuses on the roles and skills required to be a sound designer with both technical and creative approach.

Students will learn,

- How to read director’s intention from scenario & video
- Sound design work-flow & Use of Sound map
- Pro Tools & Audio processing for post-production
- Creative sound design with synthesizer & sampler
- Field & studio recording / editing / pre-mixing
- Voice sound design & acting technique
- Game audio work-flow & Audio engine in Unity
- How to make demo-reel & portfolio web-site using WordPress

This course is available for anyone regardless of their level of knowledge in audio production, and explains the detailed process of sound design step-by-step. All prospective students are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced musicians who wish to sharpen their skills and broaden the field.

Instructor - Jong Hee Park, Record Factory CEO

Jong Hee Park is a multi-talented entrepreneur who are fearless in testing his limits in the music industry. After studying at Vancouver Film School and Ex’pression College for Digital Arts, Jong Hee set up his own recording studios, EPI and 7 Hertz, which paved the path for his notable career as a sound engineer. From K-Pop, movies, commercials to games, Jong Hee immersed himself in various genres and styles of music in his sound design work, and mastered all three fields of sound engineering-recording, mixing, and mastering. Jong Hee’s passion now lies in leading the young aspiring producers/engineers/musicians with the effective educational programs, and he hopes to achieve that dream with Record Factory.
